This programme aims to empower students from underprivileged backgrounds and marginalised communities to pursue their pre-university studies, while nurturing their potential beyond academics.
In 2023, the first cohort was recruited, comprising 24 pre-university students pursuing foundation and matriculation studies and 11 undergraduates pursuing a degree qualification. The students benefitted from a series of development camps designed to build personal and leadership capabilities, in addition to financial support.
The second cohort, recruited in 2024, comprised 17 scholars, all of whom were pre-university students. Three bootcamps, strategically focused on communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking (the 4 Cs), strengthened their future-ready skills, supporting them throughout their careers.
The current cohort was recruited in early 2025, with 25 pre-university students benefitting from the three bootcamps, along with the addition of personalised coaching to help them identify strengths and areas for improvement, enabling more effective and accelerated growth.
In 2025, the Back to School Programme focused on providing essential school supplies to underprivileged and marginalised students, enabling them to start the new academic year with confidence and peace of mind.
In collaboration with Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah (PPD) Ranau, full school uniform sets, shoes, socks and learning tools, including geometry sets and scientific calculators, were distributed to secondary school students in Ranau, Sabah across five schools: SMK Mat Salleh, SMK Ranau, SMK Kundasang, SMK Lohan and SMKA Mohamad Ali. A total investment of RM214,000 was made, with distributions held in two phases: 6th and 7th November for 950 students at respective participating schools, and distribution for the remaining 50 students at the official programme launch on 10 November.
Through EduTuition, we provide Form 5 students from underserved and marginalised communities with access to tuition, offering vital academic support as they prepare for one of the most important examinations of their lives to date, the SPM qualification.
Since 2022, the programme has impacted nearly 1,700 students across Malaysia. This is achieved by sponsoring tuition centres nationwide, bringing together students from three to five nearby schools to receive tuition in key subjects such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, History, Physics and Additional Mathematics. Students also benefit from the expertise of Yayasan Pelajaran MARA, further strengthening their exam readiness.
Empowers 441 students from 48 MRSMs to overcome financial challenges and pursue their education with confidence and comfort, while equipping them with essential leadership skills that prepare them to be positive changemakers in both their personal and professional lives.
From July to September 2024, these students enhanced their leadership skills through the Back To School Leadership Programme at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) and Darul Iman Training Centre (DITC), Terengganu, mastering key competencies like the 4Cs, emotional intelligence, and digital citizenship.
By fostering these abilities, we aim to nurture future leaders who will not only uplift their communities but also advance our nation.
